guitar music notes chart

I want to teach myself how to play guitar?

I have a Tradition Acoustic guitar, and I have been searching online for chords and such, but it just doesn’t work. I am impatient, but I know how hard I have to work to learn the guitar.

I’m having all of these issues:
I can’t stop the buzzing.
I can’t reach all of the strings depending on the chord.
I’m REALLY confused as to how they write the things. Like, I can read music, but the way each different websites shows the chords is just too confusing.
I don’t like learning it on videos, I’d rather use charts and such.

I’m probably going to buy one of those books that teaches you one note, then adds another, and you practice that, then add a new note etc.

But until then, I want to see if I can learn for free first.

Do you know any websites that are good for COMPLETE BEGINNERS and show everything clear and in detail?
OH, and it’s free?

Thanks for your time.

Yeah, I know what you’re talking about, I taught myself guitar as well.

-Buzzing will disappear after a while. It only happens because your fingers aren’t yet strong enough to properly hold down the strings.
-Reaching will come after lots of practice. It just takes time. I remember sometimes I would get frustrate, but you have to look past that.
-The way that most people read music is through tabs. Just think of it as how the strings look on the actual guitar. The numbers represent which fret you should hold down. It is different from traditional sheet music technique. Don’t worry, you’ll get used to it after a while.
-As much as you may dislike videos, some can be extremely helpful. Since I had trouble reading tabs just as you did when I was beginning, the videos verbally tell you which fingers should be on which fret to play a full chord. There are plenty of videos out there on the Internet. I remember just skipping around to a ton of different websites, so it doesn’t really matter which ones you choose.
-Most important of all, just stick to mastering the chords for a while. They will put you way ahead of other people who just try and learn complete songs. Even chords alone can make up some pretty neat stuff, depending on which strumming pattern you use.

I hope that this helps, and good luck. Keep persevering. You should have no trouble if you already have a background in music.
