Guitar Hero World Tour Problems: PS2 is eventually not able to read the memory card…?
So here is what happens: No matter how little or how much memory is saved onto a PS2 Memory card (card made by Sony) the PS2 system does not recognize it after playing certain modes in Guitar Hero World Tour. In more detail, (it’s happened twice) whenever I try to save a song from Music Studio or Song Creator, it is not able to save it onto the memory card. I have tried restarting the system, and after the main screen, it tries to read the memory card and I get an “Error” message stating that there is no memory card inserted. Note, this always happens whenever I try to create a song and try to save it. It’s in old PS2, but it works fine for other memory cards. Why does it screw up every time I try to create a song? I don’t think I’ve lost any data, it just won’t read the dang thing. I don’t know how else to explain it. The only other thing I know is that it is a 32MB card. Can someone please shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.
It may be a game reading issue. I had issues with my game not playing and doing very wierd things. I was reading another posting on another site and came across this solution.

This will show you how to calibrate your playtion if it is a old fat one. Sony wants $50 to do this and it is very simple. Follow the directions exactly and it might fix your issue. The GHWT game is a dual layered disk and the old PS2′s were never calibrated to read this type of disk.
